Vintage U.S.M.C. P-1958 Jacket, Utility, Cotton satin fabric

Following the USMC's P-1953 Utility Jacket, which began to be issued around the time of the Korean War, a successor jacket and trousers were adopted. The so-called P-1958 model is a jacket in which the fabric was changed from herringbone twill to cotton satin fabric. This model was also issued as a set with a dedicated trouser.

Until the switch to the OG-107 Utility, which was common to all military forces, Marine Corps adopted its own combat and work uniforms. These combat uniforms were issued and worn until the beginning of the Vietnam War.

Two pockets, hidden buttons, olive drab buttons, EGA marking stamped on the front. The fabric is cotton satin.

In good condition with little damage.
This jacket is unusual in that it is a large size of 42.
It has been cleaned and has pressings remaining.

朝鮮動乱前後に支給がはじまった米海兵隊のP-1953 ユーティリティジャケットに続いて後継のジャケット&トラウザースが採用されました。へリンボンツイル生地からコットンサテン生地に変更になったジャケットがいわゆるP-1958モデルです。このモデルも専用トラウザースとセットで支給されました。

全軍共通装備のOG-107ユーティリティーに切り替わるまでのあいだ、マリンコーは独自の戦闘服、作業服を採用していました。ヴェトナム戦争の当初の時期までこうした戦闘服は支給され着用されました。

2ポケット仕様、隠しボタン、ボタンはオリーブドラブカラー、フロントにはEGAマーキングがスタンピングされています。生地はコットンサテン。

状態は良好でダメージの少ないコンディション。
サイズが42と大きめサイズなのも珍しいジャケットです。
クリーニングされたままでプレスが残っています。
