Vintage American-made sheepskin leather jacket, likely from the 1930s-40's

This sports jacket is a derivative of the popular A-1 style, with an appealing pocket placement reminiscent of the Navy's 37-J-1 leather jacket.

The soft, lightweight sheepskin leather, a light brown color, reveals the leather's natural texture and wrinkles, creating a stunning look.

The front is buttoned, but the top and bottom buttons, as well as the button on the right pocket flap, are missing. We will provide or install period-appropriate buttons upon purchase. Please note that the buttons may not be exactly the same shape.

The beautiful lining is made of lightweight wool with a check pattern.
The lining, with no noticeable damage, matches this jacket perfectly.

While many sports jackets from this era are found in smaller sizes, this jacket measures around a size 40, making it a comfortable fit. There are dotted zipper buttons along the inside of the collar, which may have been used to attach a dedicated liner or hood.

The beautiful graining adds a distinctive vintage look.
It's lightweight and comfortable, so try pairing it with chunky chinos, denim, or black or grey wool trousers.

ヴィンテージ　1930年代頃から40年代のものと思われるアメリカ製のシープスキンレザージャケット

いわゆるA-1スタイルと呼ばれるようなポピュラーなかたちから派生したスタイルのスポーツジャケットで、どこか海軍の37-J-1レザーのようなポケットの位置が魅力的です。

柔らかで軽いシープスキンレザー、明るいブラウンカラーはレザーの表情と皺が見て取れ素晴らしい雰囲気です。

フロントはボタンですが最上部と最下部のボタン、右ポケットのフラップ用ボタンが欠損しています。お買い上げ頂く際に時代感の合うボタンを付属もしくは取り付けさせて頂き納品致します。全く同じ形状のボタンではありませんのでご了承下さい。

美しいライニングはチェック柄の薄手のウール製です。
特に目立つダメージのないライニングはこのジャケットにとてもマッチしています。

この頃のスポーツジャケットは小さなサイズの個体が多く見つかりますが、このジャケットは40程度のサイズ感ですので使いやすいサイズかと思います。襟の内側に沿ってドットファスナーボタンが取り付けられており、これは専用のライナーかフードを取り付けるためのものかもしれません。

美しいシボがヴィンテージならではの表情をもっています。
軽い着心地ですので、太目のチノやデニム、ブラックやグレーのウールトラウザースと合わせてみてください。
