Authentic 1960s Tiger Stripe Jacket

This model is known among collectors and researchers as the "Tadpole sparse pattern." In Japan, it was once also called the "Silver Tiger." Made from thick fabric, it was specifically designed for tropical regions, but its unique soft texture is appealing. With appropriate layering, it can also be worn in winter.

During the Vietnam War, this combat uniform was produced for South Vietnamese government soldiers, South Vietnamese special forces, and mountain tribal units, and was also issued to US military advisors and US Army and Navy special forces personnel. However, since most were used by South Vietnamese government soldiers, most surviving examples are in Asian sizes, and larger sizes for Americans are difficult to obtain.

It features a front button fly, and the color is mostly intact, but there is some discoloration on the sleeves (a slightly brownish change). Although there is some discoloration on the sleeves, it hasn't faded significantly, and it has transformed into a unique and appealing original color.

1960年代の実物タイガーストライプジャケット

コレクターや研究者のあいだでは「Tadpole sparse pattrn 」と呼ばれるモデルです。 国内ではかつては「シルバータイガー」と呼ばれていたこともありました。 厚手の生地で、熱帯地域用に特化したものですが、独特の柔らかな生地感が魅力です。 インナーを工夫して頂ければ冬季の着用も問題ありません。


ヴェトナム戦当時、南ヴェトナム政府軍兵士や南ヴェトナム特殊部隊、山岳民族の部隊用に生産され、さらに米軍事顧問団将兵や米陸軍米海軍特殊部隊員にも支給された戦闘服ですが、多くが南ヴェトナム政府軍兵の用途であったため、現存数はアジアンサイズが多く米国人用の大きなサイズは入手が困難です。


フロントボタンフライ、発色はほぼ残存していますが、袖に変色（ややブラウンがかった変化）が起きています。袖にはやや変色があるものの、薄くはなっていない上、なんとも言えないオリジナルの魅力あるカラーに変化 しております。
