Vintage 1940s Benrus Watch
This American watch is known in Japan as "Kakukin."

The gold-plated case has a pinkish hue rather than a yellow gold color.

The dial is copper, but has aged significantly over time.

The numerals are in Breguet font.

The hands are blued steel.

The crystal features a variety of curves, and the bezel and case shape are emblematic of Art Deco. This style is emblematic of American watches from the 1940s.

Famous civilian manufacturers of these watches include Benrus, Hamilton, and Bulova. In addition to military use, soldiers also purchased these watches at their own expense and wore them on the battlefield.

The strap has a 15mm lug width and is paired with a gray vintage strap (16mm). This strap is short, so please check the length beforehand.

Of course, you can also change it to a leather strap for a more dressy look.

Surprisingly, this watch is perfect for pairing with denim or a flight jacket.

There are no abnormalities in the current operation. The daily accuracy is about one minute, and there are no problems with normal use at present, so it is being sold in its current condition. We recommend an overhaul in the future. We will have it overhauled by one of Japan's top vintage watch repair workshops. After the overhaul, there is a six-month warranty period, and a detailed repair invoice is included, so please rest assured. Please allow approximately two months for delivery.

ヴィンテージ　1940年代のベンラスの時計
日本では「角金」と呼ばれるアメリカの時計です。

金張りのケースはイエローゴールドカラーよりピンクがかった色味
ダイヤルはコッパーですが経年変化によってこのダイヤルは激しくエイジングしています。

インデックスの数字はブレゲフォントを採用しています
針はブルースティールです。

多面カットされた風防、アールデコを象徴するベゼルやケースの形状。1940年代の米国時計を象徴するスタイルといえるでしょう。
これらの民間用時計としてはベンラス、ハミルトン、ブローバのメーカーが知られていますし、当時は軍用時計以外にも将兵が自費で購入して戦地で使用しました。

ベルトは15mmのラグ幅に対して、グレーカラーのヴィンテージストラップ(16mm)を合わせています。このベルトは短めの作りのためあらかじめ長さをお確かめください。
もちろんレザーベルトに交換してもよりドレッシーなスタイルとなります。

意外にもデニムやフライトジャケットに合わせて付けて頂きたい時計です。

現状での動作に異常はありません。日差は1分程度、現状通常使用に問題ございませんので現状のコンディションでの販売です。将来的にはオーバーホールを推奨いたします。弊店から国内トップクラスのヴィンテージウォッチ修理工房にオーバーホールを依頼致します。
